Many of us wonder what happens to our recycling once its been collected by the recycling collection vehicles.

Our recycling goes through quite a journey before it ends up as a new item.

Once the recycling is collected, it is then transported to the materials recovery facility (MRF) where the recycling is sorted into seperate streams  for example paper, cans etc.

Find out what happens to your recycling once we collect it.

After all the recycling has been sorted into seperate streams, these are then sent on for further reprocessing. Find out what happens to the paper, cans, cartons, and glass.
