Solihull Tree Wardens are a group of volunteers, whose aim is to protect trees within Solihull to safeguard our environment and heritage. The Tree Warden Scheme is a national initiative – established in 1990 by the Tree council, which allows people to play an active role in conserving and enhancing their local trees and woods. Tree Wardens are not expected to be experts but to have a genuine love for trees and the natural environment. They are volunteers who care about their local trees and woodlands. Events and projects are varied and include tree planting, tree and habitat surveys, growing trees from locally collected seed, tree pests, diseases and woodland management.
