Celebration Trees

Our Celebration Trees are planted in parks and open spaces across the borough, offering a lasting tribute or gift. You can sponsor a Celebration Tree in one of our beautiful parks – simply choose a location marked by a red dote from the map at the bottom of this page.

You can select from the following tree species to represent your special occasion: 

Prunus subhirtella Autumnalis – Winter Flowering Cherry 

Liquidambar styraciflua Worplesdon – Sweetgum 

Acer platanoides Crimson King – Purple Norway Maple 

Alnus incana Aurea – Golden Alder 

Quercus ilex – Holly Oak

Your sponsorship of £495 (excluding VAT) covers the cost of purchasing the tree and providing care for its first three years, ensuring it thrives in its new environment. When planted, the tree will be approximately 2 meters tall, supported by stakes and protected with various accessories to promote healthy growth.

Join Us to Plant Your Tree

The planting season runs from November to March each year. If you’d like to personally plant your tree, we’ll notify you of the planting day and provide guidance from our friendly team. If you’re unable to attend, we’ll plant it on your behalf and send you a photo of the tree along with its location. You’re welcome to visit your tree as it grows, contributing to a thriving habitat for local wildlife. 

 

Street Trees 

We’re excited to introduce Street Tree Sponsorship for the 2025/26 planting season! By sponsoring a street tree, you can fill gaps in tree coverage on your street, outside schools, or in other local areas, creating a healthier and more pleasant environment for all.

How to Sponsor a Street Tree

We welcome sponsorships from individuals, resident associations, local organisations, and businesses. Whether you’re celebrating a milestone, supporting your community, or promoting your company’s commitment to sustainability, sponsoring a street tree is a wonderful choice. 

Sponsorship opportunities are available in many areas where grass verges provide suitable planting locations. If you need assistance, we can suggest potential planting sites and help you choose a tree species suited to the location.

Sponsorship Details

Your sponsorship of £495 (excluding VAT) covers, the cost of the tree (approximately 2 meters tall when planted), three years of care to ensure the tree’s healthy growth, and protective measures such as stakes and caging.

Planting Your Tree

As with Celebration Trees, the planting season runs from November to March, and you’ll be invited to participate in the planting process or receive updates if you can’t attend.
