The Great British Spring Clean Events

 

The Great British Spring Clean is a campaign with one simple ambition. To bring together great-british-spring-cleanpeople from across the country to clear up the litter that blights our towns, villages, countryside and coastline.

Solihull is bringing people together and there are now confirmed cleans which are detailed below. Everyone is invited to take part. This page will be regularly updated as further cleans are established so please keep visiting.

Balsall Common: Saturday, 4th March, 10am – 12pm. Meeting outside Balsall Common Library, Kenilworth Road.  This is run in association with The Balsall Common Residents Association. Following the event participants are invited to The Bear, Berkswell for refreshments.

Berkswell: Saturday, 4th March, 10am 12pm. Meeting outside the Spinney Car Park off Lavender Hall Lane. This is run in association with The Berkswell Society. Following the event participants are invited to The Bear, Berkswell for refreshments.

Olton: Saturday, 4th March, 10.30am – 11.30am. Meet at Olton Library, Warwick Road.  This is run in association with The Literary Litter Pickers.

Langley Hall Park, Olton: Saturday, 4th March, 10.15am – 11.15am. Meet at the entrance gate off Swanswell Road.  This is a Literary Litter Pickers Spin Off Group event.  Participants are invited to Olton Library afterwards for refreshments.

Hob’s Meadow Woods: Saturday, 4th March, 14.00pm – 15.00pm.  Meet at St Mary’s Church car park, 30 Hob’s Meadow just off Lode Lane. 

Richmond Road Park: Saturday, 4th March, 10.15am 11.15am. Meeting at Car Park off Richmond Road. Organised by Literary Litter Pickers.

Olton Jubilee Park: Saturday, 4th March 10.15am 11.15am. Meeting at Guide Hut car park on Brackleys Way. Organised by Literary Litter Pickers.

Elmdon Park, Saturday, 4th March, 3.00pm  4.30pm. Meeting at Tanhouse Farm Road car park. Organised by Literary Litter Pickers.

Dickens Heath: Saturday, 11th March, 10.30am – 11.30am. Meeting at Dickens Heath Library. In association with Dickens Heath Parish Council.

Tudor Grange Park, Solihull: Tuesday, 28th March, 10.00am – 12.30pm. Meet outside children’s play area. This is run in association with Solihull Rotary Club.

Smith’s Wood: Thursday, 13th April, 11.00am – 12.00pm. Meet at Auckland Hall, Sunbeam Close. This is run in association with The Cars Area Big Local.

Hockley Heath: Friday, 21st April, 10.00am – 2.00pm. Meet at Hockley Heath Recreation Ground car park, Old Warwick Road. This is run in association with Hockley Heath Parish Council.

Shirley Town Centre: Saturday, 29th April, 10am – 12pm. Meet outside Shirley Library, Parkgate Centre. This is being run in association with Shirley Lions Club.
